Symbian phones are very
good, but it becomes very irritating when we see “certificate error” or “can’t
install application from an untrusted supplier” type messages. Well, these
problems are very common for the Symbian users, but the good news is; now it is
possible to install unsigned applications on Symbian phones. A few months
earlier, people used to register on websites like OPDA, S60Cert etc. and
download the .cer and .key file for their phones and then sign the unsigned software
via FreeSigner. This method is very backdated and unusable, because now these
websites like OPDA,S60Cert have stopped providing .cert and .key files for the
users.
Now in this article, we
will be learning how to hack Symbian60v5 and Symbian60v5^ mobile phones so that
we can install any unsigned apps.
The
tools we will need for this method:
1. Patch
files
2. Dr.
Web antivirus version 6.00 (For copying the patches)
3. Nokia
Ovi Provisioner
4. Rom
Patcher+
5. Installserver.exe
file (this will make the system allow unsigned apps.)
6. X-Plore
(For copying the installserver.exe file to system)
7.An unsigned application (for checking if the system is hacked properly)
(For this
tutorial, we will be using the app named Advanced Call Manager Unsigned.)
All the tools are in a
.rar file. You can download the .rar file from here.
1. At first, connect
your mobile phone to the computer on mass
storage mode via usb.
2. Then, extract the
downloaded .rar file on your pc. (Not in
your phone!!!!)
3. Then, open
QuarantinedriversLDD folder and copy the 20024113 folder to you mobile’s memory
card’s Private folder.(If you want to use the phone memory, the copy the
20024113 folder from QuarantinedriversF folder to Phone Memory’s Private
folder.)
4. Make sure that you
have copied the right patches to the right destination in step 3.If you don’t,
then read it and do it again in the right way. Now, I assume that you have done
it in the right way. Let’s move on to the next step. Copy these files to your
memory card via usb:
1. DrWeb_AV.sis
2. Nokia
ovi provisioner .sisx
3. RomPatcherPlus_Lite_signed.sisx
4. X-plore
v1.51.sis
5. Installserver.exe
(The One suites your phone)
5. Now, at first,
install Nokia ovi provisioner .sisx, after that DrWeb_AV.sis, then RomPatcherPlus_Lite_Signed.sisx,
and at last X-Plore v1.51.sis, and make sure you install all of them in your memory card.
6. Open DrWeb antivirus
and when it prompts for license, press cancel.
7. Go to options ->
Quarantine. You will see 3 files there (These are the patches.).If you don’t
see any files, then make sure, 1) you have copied the right patches to the
right destination, 2) and if you are sure that you have copied the right ones,
then restart your phone.
8. Go
to Options-> Select all.
9. Go
to Options->Restore. All the files will disappear. (if the files are
duplicated after restore, then you have used the wrong patches. In this case,
repeat the steps from the 3rd step and try again.)
10. Exit DrWeb, and open RomPatcherPlus.
Then select the Open4all_RP+ and activate it{Just tap on it twice}.The icon
beside it will turn into Green.(If you see "E:/sys/bin/patcher*. LDD not found!"
message, then start from the 3rd step again, and in in the 8th
step, instead of selecting all, select one by one, and restore.)
11. Now you can access
all the system files. Close RomPatcherPlus and open X-Plore.Copy the
installserver.exe file (copied in step 4) to e:\sys\bin folder and c:\sys\bin
folder.
12. Close X-Plore and
open RomPatcherPlus again. Select Install_Server_RP+ and activate it. (Tap on
it twice).The icon will turn into Green.
Hooray!!!!!! You have
successfully hacked your Symbian Mobile phone. Now you can remove the Dr.Web
Antivirus and X-Plore, but the Nokia ovi provisioner and Rompatcher should be
remained installed on your phone. Now, install Advanced Call Manager Unsigned
app to be sure that your Symbian phone is hacked properly.
